Philippines Haul

These are just some of the things I got when I went on holiday in the Philippines. I didn’t get to buy a lot of things because I actually don’t know why. I was tight on money. I only had about 40,000 php which was equivalent to £550 pocket money. I basically spent a lot of my money on food. The stuff shown in the pictures were from my last minute shopping because I thought to myself I cannot go back home (to England) empty handed. So I went crazy shopping in Mall of Asia and Robinsons mall (Malate). I did buy a few things when we first arrived in the Philippines but I didn’t get the chance to take a picture. I aim to record a PI haul video tomorrow if I have the time as I’ll be cramming yet again for my assignment which is due in less than a week. Oops! Anyways, stay tuned for that video.

Soap and Glory

I’m going to start off my first blog entry for the new year with soap and glory products.

I’ve seen this product at Boots earlier this year. The packaging really does catch your attention. I actually don’t want to throw away the packaging. However, I haven’t really bought anything from the line until later this year where Boots were having a 3 for 2 sale. And I must say, I wish I had tried out their products sooner as it is aaaammmaaazzziing!!! The scent of it is so nice. It’s so hard to explain but it really does smell nice. For that reason, I would really love to try out their body mists. I actually want to collect quite a few more Soap and Glory products. So maybe the next time I pop into Boots I might purchase some more S&G stuff.

Have you ever tried this brand?? If so, what are your favourites and why? I would really love to know as it may help me decide on what products to get the next time I go into town.

just a random one

This is what my nails actually look like right now. I use Barry M’s Grey nail polish and I must say I love it. The staying power is really good too. Usually cheap nail polishes don’t last long on me. It usually chips after 3 days but I’ve had it for a week in the picture and right now it’s nearly two weeks (although it’s starting to chip but not as bad as the ELF nail polishes).

(They had an offer on the brushes. It was just £1 per brush. I couldn’t resist.)
I love love love ELF’s eyeshadow and blending brushes. I bought ten the other day.
I’m addicted to makeup brushes by the way.

And this is what I’ve been spending my money on these days – Scrapbook materials. I’ve been buying scrapbook materials since 2006 but I HAVE NEVER EVER STARTED ONE yet. Haha. I keep putting it off cos I don’t have time and I lack enthusiasm and creativity most days. BUT I’m definitely starting one soon.

(Thinking of buying more papers. Ahh! So addicting!)

I’m thinking of making a private blog. I just think I need to separate my personal life and this beauty blog. I’ve noticed that a lot of people that I know knows about my YouTube channel and it’s kinda weird because I kept it a secret yet they still found out about it. Gahh! But what do you girls think?

I only bought two things. I didn’t want to splurge anymore.

MAC HK Haul

Hello ladies. I’m on a break from doing research. I just wanted to blog about the MAC Hello Kitty Collection. It’s finally available here in the UK. I ordered the Lucky Tom Palette and the Pretty Baby beauty powder which should arrive here on Friday (good thing I’m off at Uni then). I thought I was going to buy a lot when it was still rumored to come out last year but when I saw some videos and pictures on it I changed my mind. I’m not liking the packaging on the palette. But hopefully, the eyeshadows are highly pigmented. What are your views on this collection?

Gonna be busy

Oh my days, I thought I’m going to be more relaxed now that I’ve finished all my exams. BUT I WAS WRONG. I’m even more stressed out now!!! Looks like I won’t be able to make any videos as much as I’d like. I have so many assignments to do and on top of that I have to do a group presentation so I’d have to do lots and lots of research.

But anyway enough about that, I’m just boring you with my nursing stuff. I got my Japanese magazines today and my nail brushes. It should be easier for me to do nail designs now because of the longer handles so I can control my grip more.
That’s it for now. I’m very tired and I’m totally lost with what I’m supposed to be doing.

BBR and HK collection wish list

Oh dear, it seems like I’ve been neglecting my blog since I haven’t posted in awhile. I’m really sorry. I’ve just been working a lot lately and next Friday is my last day of my placement at the hospital. I’ll have two weeks off after that so maybe I can update more then? But for now, I want to talk about the latest collections at MAC and the stuff that I’m planning to get but still unsure of at the moment. From the BBR collection, I’m thinking of getting:

  • 165 Tapered cheek/highlight brush (£24.47)
  • 226 small tapered blending brush (£16.64)
  • Mineralize skinfinish degrade (redhead) (£18.60)
And from the Hello Kitty collection:

  • Hello Kitty Nail Lacquer Vestral White
  • Tippy blush
  • pretty baby beauty powder

I’d probably get my mum to buy me some of these since I didn’t get ANY present on my birthday. LOL! And plus, she owes me £100 so I can just ask her to get me those without having to fish out some money from my February bursary. Hmm.
